Dr. Barbara Etterle is a psychologist specializing in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. She holds a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies, with concentrations in Criminology, Psychology, and Theology.
A veteran, Dr. Etterle retired from the Air Force in 2026. Her primary duties focused on enhancing human capital throughout the Major Command through managing human resources, with a focus on macro-level crisis and violence prevention and micro-level resilience strengthening. She also provided coaching, mentorship, and training for individual members of the organization.
Dr. Etterle now enjoys researching individual contributions at the organizational level and seeking ways to simultaneously improve employee well-being and increase organizational effectiveness.
She serves on the board at Cobb Collaborative, which is a non-profit organization in Cobb County, Georgia. Cobb Collaborative's mission is to engage, educate, and empower the community to improve the well-being of children and families to enable all Cobb Citizens to thrive.
